3/4″ x 2 1/4″
Long rectangular stamps – These stamps marked the ninth world convention of ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. These 80-yen stamps were issued in 2006 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the International Ikebana society. The stamps show flowers in a traditional oxcart (symbolizing the noble court). They were designed by Hoshiyama Ayaka. The top peak evokes Mt. Fuji. These are available in red and in green.
Monique Weston Jewelry
She creates remarkable jewelry from antique and vintage architectural elements, including hinges, keyholes, chandelier parts and doorbells. She searches high and low for castoff pieces of the past, then reinvent them. She frames them in classical jewelry settings, to highlight their hidden and often unintended beauty. The result is a striking and adventurous synthesis of industrial strength and glamour.
