These 1973 Israeli stamps feature stained-glass windows, designed by Marc Chagall. There are 12 of these windows, gracing the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center Synagogue in Jerusalem. In shades of red, green, blue and yellow, each window is a different design, representing the 12 tribes of Israel. The stamps were originally retangular. They are paired with vintage paisa coins from India, showing the classic Indian tribe lion.
